Raven Winter is a Chicago-based DJ, host and cultural connector whose relationship with house music reaches well beyond the booth. Her sound moves through Afro House, Spiritual House, Chicago House and Tech House, shaped by percussion, soul, movement and the communities that gather around the music.
Her history includes Uhuru Afrika, the long-running Afro House gathering founded on the East Coast. Raven hosted Uhuru Afrika events in Boston and New York and, in 2019, joined Adam Gibbons in presenting the collective’s Los Angeles debut featuring Hyenah. That chapter connects her to a community that produced events across Boston, New York, Playa del Carmen and Los Angeles while helping create space for Afro House culture.
Now rooted in Chicago, Raven brings that history into a sound grounded in the city’s house lineage while remaining open to global influence. Through @RavenWanderlust, music, travel, nightlife and culture become part of the same story: connection through sound, people and place.
